Geode Lake Dam Information

Geode Lake Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 9 miles from Augusta, Des Moines, Iowa.

The dam, which is on the Tr-Skunk River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for benefits.

The dam was designed by STANLEY ENGR. CO & DNR and commissioned in 1949 and is currently owned by Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
