Lake Sundown Dam Information

Lake Sundown Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 22 miles from Floris, Appanoose, Iowa.

The dam, which is on the South Soap Creek River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for Water Supply benefits.

The dam was designed by THOMPSON-WILLIS &CO and commissioned in 1976 and is currently owned by Coves of Sundown Lake Owners Association.
