Rocky Gap Dam Information

Rocky Gap Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 2 miles from Dickens, Allegany, Maryland.

The dam, which is on the Rocky Gap Run River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for benefits.

The dam was designed by Whitman, Requardt & Assoc. and commissioned in 1969 and is currently owned by MD DNR-Public Lands, Engineering & Constr-Western.
