The dam, which is on the Tr-Wynantskill River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for benefits.
The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1916 and is currently owned by Burden Lake Preservation Corporation;Daniel L. Alger;Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Liane Densmore;RENSSELAER COUNTY.
