Alder Dam Information

Alder Dam is a concrete arch gravity dam located about 18 miles from Yelm, Wa, Pierce, Washington.

The dam, which is on the Nisqually River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Recreation benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1945 and is currently owned by City of Tacoma.
