Yates Dam is a gravity dam located about 3 miles from Tallassee, Elmore, Alabama.

The dam, which is on the Tallapoosa River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Recreation benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1928 and is currently owned by Alabama Power Company.
