Carpenter Dam Information

Carpenter Dam is a gravity concrete dam located about 8 miles from Diamondhead, Garland, Arkansas.

The dam, which is on the Ouachita River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Fish and Wildlife Pond, Recreation and Water Supply benefits.

The dam was designed by EBASCO and commissioned in 1932 and is currently owned by Entergy Arkansas, Inc..
