Nimbus Dam Information

Nimbus Dam is a concrete gravity dam located about 3 miles from Fair Oaks, Sacramento, California.

The dam, which is on the American River, was primarily built for Fish and Wildlife Pond purposes, but also serves for Irrigation, Recreation and Hydroelectric benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1955 and is currently owned by US Bureau of Reclamation.
