Virginia Ranch Dam Information

Virginia Ranch Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 12 miles from Browns Valley, Yuba, California.

The dam, which is on the French Dry Creek River, was primarily built for Irrigation purposes, but also serves for Recreation and Hydroelectric benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1963 and is currently owned by Browns Valley Irrigation District.
