West Valley Dam Information

West Valley Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 20 miles from Alturas, Modoc, California.

The dam, which is on the West Valley Cr River, was primarily built for Water Supply purposes, but also serves for Irrigation benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1936 and is currently owned by South Fork Irrigation District.
