The dam, which is on the Big Thompson River-Os, was primarily built for Irrigation purposes, but also serves for Recreation benefits.
The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1905 and is currently owned by SEVEN LAKES RESERVOIR CO. (DAN KAMMERZELL).
