Shadow Mountain Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 12 miles from Granby, Grand, Colorado.

The dam, which is on the Colorado River, was primarily built for Irrigation purposes, but also serves for benefits.

The dam was designed by US Bureau of Reclamation and commissioned in 1945 and is currently owned by US Bureau of Reclamation.
