Richard B. Russell Dam is a concrete earth gravity dam located about 15 miles from Elberton, Elbert, Georgia.

The dam, which is on the Savannah River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Fish and Wildlife Pond, Recreation, Water Supply and Flood Risk Reduction benefits.

The dam was designed by CESAS and commissioned in 1986 and is currently owned by USACE – Savannah District.
