The dam, which is on the West Branch Copperas Creek River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for Water Supply benefits.
The dam was designed by KINSEY ENGINEERING CO. and commissioned in 1939 and is currently owned by CITY OF CANTON.
