The dam, which is on the West Fork Shoal Creek River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for Water Supply benefits.
The dam was designed by CRAWFORD, MURPHY AND TILLY;CRAWFORD, MURPHY and TILLY and commissioned in 1966 and is currently owned by CITY OF LITCHFIELD.
