The dam, which is on the Demeree Creek River, was primarily built for Flood Risk Reduction purposes, but also serves for benefits.
The dam was designed by USDA – NRCS;USDA NRCS and commissioned in 1970 and is currently owned by LITTLE RACCOON CONSERVANCY DISTRICT.
