Sardis Dam Information

Sardis Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 10 miles from Batesville, Panola, Mississippi.

The dam, which is on the Little Tallahatchie River, was primarily built for Flood Risk Reduction purposes, but also serves for Recreation benefits.

The dam was designed by CEMVK and commissioned in 1940 and is currently owned by USACE – Vicksburg District.
