Hebgen Dam Information

Hebgen Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 55 miles from Ennis, Mt, Gallatin, Montana.

The dam, which is on the Madison River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Recreation, Water Supply and Flood Risk Reduction benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1915 and is currently owned by NorthWestern Energy.
