Hopkinton Dam Information

Hopkinton Dam is a rockfill earth dam located in West Hopkinton, Merrimack, New Hampshire.

The dam, which is on the Contoocook River, was primarily built for Flood Risk Reduction purposes, but also serves for Recreation benefits.

The dam was designed by CENAE and commissioned in 1962 and is currently owned by USACE – New England District.
