Snow Lake Dam Information

Snow Lake Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 30 miles from Gila Cliff Dwellings Visitor Center, Catron, New Mexico.

The dam, which is on the Snow Creek River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for benefits.

The dam was designed by CHAMBERS & CAMPBELL, INC. and commissioned in 1967 and is currently owned by NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND FISH.
