Acton Lake Dam Information

Acton Lake Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 1.9 miles from Sommerville, Butler, Ohio.

The dam, which is on the Four Mile Creek River, was primarily built for Recreation purposes, but also serves for benefits.

The dam was designed by VOGT, IVERS, SEAMAN AND ASSOCIATES, CINCINNATI, OHIO and commissioned in 1956 and is currently owned by ODNR, Division of Parks & Watercraft.
