Altus Dam Information

Altus Dam is a concrete gravity dam located about 7 miles from Blair, Kiowa, Oklahoma.

The dam, which is on the North Fork Red River, was primarily built for Flood Risk Reduction purposes, but also serves for benefits.

The dam was designed by US Bureau of Reclamation and commissioned in 1945 and is currently owned by US Bureau of Reclamation.
