Kaw Dam Information

Kaw Dam is a gravity earth dam located in Ponca City, Osage, Oklahoma.

The dam, which is on the Arkansas River, was primarily built for Flood Risk Reduction purposes, but also serves for Recreation, Hydroelectric and Water Supply benefits.

The dam was designed by CESWT and commissioned in 1976 and is currently owned by USACE – Tulsa District.
