Hords Creek Dam Information

Hords Creek Dam is an earthen embankment dam located in Coleman, Coleman, Texas.

The dam, which is on the Hords Creek River, was primarily built for Water Supply purposes, but also serves for Fish and Wildlife Pond, Recreation and Flood Risk Reduction benefits.

The dam was designed by CESWF and commissioned in 1948 and is currently owned by USACE – Fort Worth District.
