North San Gabriel Dam Information

North San Gabriel Dam is an earthen embankment dam located in Georgetown, Williamson, Texas.

The dam, which is on the North Fork San Gabriel River, was primarily built for Flood Risk Reduction purposes, but also serves for Fish and Wildlife Pond, Recreation and Water Supply benefits.

The dam was designed by CESWF and commissioned in 1980 and is currently owned by USACE – Fort Worth District.

The North San Gabriel Dam is approximately 6,650 feet (2,027 m) long, 162 feet (49 m) high and has a structural volume of 4,653,580 cubic yards (3,557,918 cubic metres).
