Flambeau Dam Information

Flambeau Dam is a gravity earth dam located about 3 miles from Ladysmith, Rusk, Wisconsin.

The dam, which is on the Flambeau River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Fire Protection, Stock, Or Small Fish Pond, Fish and Wildlife Pond, Recreation and Flood Risk Reduction benefits.

The dam was designed by FARGO ENGINEERING and commissioned in 1951 and is currently owned by Dairyland Power Cooperative.
