Yamcolo Dam Information

Yamcolo Dam is an earthen embankment dam located about 11 miles from Yampa, Garfield, Colorado.

The dam, which is on the Bear River, was primarily built for Irrigation purposes, but also serves for Water Supply benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1980 and is currently owned by UPPER YAMPA WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT.
